Lubbock Area Addiction was founded in
1954 by a group of professionals in recovery and working in the
field of addiction. Since
1994, we have provided funding and services for the recovering
community. Over the past 10 years, we have provided funding
for the Lubbock Caprock Convention, purchased literature for
treatment facilities and jails, carried AA Meetings to the jails,
and provided medication for individuals affected by HIV/Aids.
During the coming years, we
will continue to support the recovering community, provide funds for
medical screenings for individuals entering treatment, and purchase
literature for those individuals unable to afford to purchase
materials that are vital to recovery, and provide medication for
those individuals in a treatment setting.
